Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile hardening apparatus adapted to allow immersing of a work, even in the case of the long-sized work, into a coolant filled in a coolant storage chamber and cooling the external surface of the work at a uniform cooling rate. SOLUTION: The mobile hardening apparatus includes a coolant supply member 52 of an approximately annular form into which the work 10 is insertable, and the coolant storage chamber 57 formed between the coolant supply member and the work. The coolant supply member consists of first and second coolant supply chambers 53, 54 divided in a circumferential direction. The first and second coolant supply chambers 53, 54 are respectively connected to discrete coolant supply ways 61, 62 for supplying the coolants of different flow rates. The first and second coolant supply chambers are respectively provided with jet holes 59, 60 for jetting the coolants toward the coolant storage chambers, and the bottom end of the coolant storage chamber is provided with a discharge control plate 63 which restrictedly discharges the coolant from an annular gap 65 formed between the coolant storage chamber and the work at the bottom end of the coolant storage chamber.
