Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-containing aqueous curable coating composition capable of forming a cured coating film which is excellent in durability to oxidative decomposition action of photocatalysts and cracking resistance after forming a coated film, having also excellent weathering resistance and stain resistance, and a method for production of the coating composition. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst-containing aqueous curable coating composition comprises both of an aqueous dispersion (I) in which resin particles obtained by including photocatalyst oxide fine particles (D) into a composite resin (ABC) obtained by binding a polysiloxane segment (B) of a composite resin (AB) formed by chemically bonding a polymer segment (A) having neutralized acid groups to the polysiloxane segment (B) and a polysiloxane segment (C) resulting from an alkyltrialkoxysilane condensate (c) whose alkyl groups each have 1 to 3 carbon atoms through a silicon-oxygen linkage are dispersed into an aqueous medium, and a curing agent (II) for the composite resin (ABC); and a method for the production of the coating composition is disclosed.
