Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active 5-vinyl derivative of thiolactomycin, showing a fatty acid synthase (FAS) inhibitory activity and expected to have uses as an anti-obesity agent and anticancer agent, and the use as a treating agent of infectious diseases. SOLUTION: This 5-vinylthiolactomycin derivative expressed by general formula (1) and a 3-demethyl-5-vinyl thiolactomycin derivative or their pharmacologically acceptable salts are provided. As a concrete example; (5R)-5-butenyl-4-hydroxy-5-methyl-5H-thiophen-2-one is provided, and an excellent fatty acid synthase inhibitory effect is found out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
