Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ignition coil iron core with high fill density capable of manufacturing the ignition coil iron core with high material yield and high productivity, while suppressing the occurrence of burr at the side edge of each iron core strips that constitute the iron core. SOLUTION: A plurality of iron core strips 10 with different widths for ignition coils that form a caulking portion are made of magnetic metal plates 11 by stamping. Then, these iron core strips 10 are laminated through the caulking portion. After that, ignition coil iron cores having a cross section of virtually cylindrical or polygonal shape are manufactured. In the foregoing manufacturing method, when the longside edges of the iron core strips 10 are formed out of the metal plate 11, a lancing process is carried out, wherein one side of the iron core serves as a vertical plane and a bending portion 18 is formed on the other side.
