OPTICAL COMMUNICATION MODULE AND ASSEMBLING METHOD OF OPTICAL COMMUNICATION MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module and an assembling method thereof that actualize excellent simultaneous optical coupling of both a light emitting element and a light receiving element with an optical fiber. SOLUTION: In the optical communication module comprising a first member 6a holding an optical fiber 1, a second member 6b holding a lens 5, and a third member 6c holding the light emitting element 7b and light receiving element 4, the second member 6b and third member 6c engage each other to have relative positions adjusted along the optical axis of the lens 5, and are fixed after adjustments, so the lens 5, light emitting element 7b, and light receiving element 4 can precisely be disposed at optimum relative positions without reference to manufacturing errors of the second member 6b and third member 6c, thereby suppressing generation of an error signal.
