PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of performing humidification operation always hygienically during operation and maintaining a humidifying water tank hygienically during the stop of operation. SOLUTION: The humidifier capable of maintaining the humidifying water tank 13 hygienically during the stop of operation is obtained by providing a fan motor 5 provided in a ventilation flue 4 serving for communication between an air intake port 1 and a blowoff port 2 of a body 3; a primary tank having a water supply tank 8 provided in the body 3, and a secondary water tank 7 with one end provided with a water pipe 10 heated by a heating means 9; an ultrasonic vibrating implement 14 provided at a bottom part of the humidifying water tank 13 supplied with hot water from a discharge port 11 of the water pipe 10 and communicating with the blowoff port 2; and a water return means 15 capable of returning water stored in the humidifying water tank, to the secondary water tank 7.
