Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the surface of a lens by substantially uniform lens holding force, and to prevent generation of cracks in a coating film layer on the surface of the lens and axial deviation of a lens to be machined in machining. SOLUTION: This lens holder 8 is constituted of a metal holder body 12 and an elastic member 14 for holding a machining center part 13 of the lens 7 to be machined. The holder body 12 is constituted of a fitting shaft part 12A to be fitted to a lens holding shaft 5 and an elastic member mounting part 12B formed with a recessed part 20 at the center of the surface. The elastic member 14 is constituted of a soft elastic body layer 14A fitted and fixed to the recessed part 20 of the elastic member mounting part 12B and a hard elastic body layer 14B fixed to the surface of the elastic member mounting part 12B.
