SHEET CUTTER WITH MEASURING MECHANISM FOR WATERMARKED PAPER SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutter with a measuring mechanism for a watermarked paper sheet for measuring a length of the cut watermarked sheet after cutting a watermarked web into a sheet size. SOLUTION: The sheet cutter with the measuring mechanism for a watermarked paper sheet measures a length of the watermarked sheet on a dedicated transfer cylinder while correcting a measurement error caused by measurement of the sheet length. A leading edge of the cut paper is held by the transfer cylinder with good timing and the sheet is carried on a surface of the cylinder from the leading edge to its tail. Thus, measurement accuracy of the paper length with a watermarked position as reference during high-speed conveyance is improved, cutting accuracy owing to feedback data from the paper length is improved, and accuracy of determination as to whether the sheet is good is improved.
