Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain acceleration of processing by reducing the load on a CPU in alpha blend processing, and to reduce memory capacity to be used. SOLUTION: For each image element, a pixel value and an alpha value are held, respectively, in a data holding means as data of a run length format, and a combination processing section 14 combines pixel values of image elements while keeping the data of the run length format and combines alpha values of the image elements while keeping the data of the run length format. A rendering processing section 15 extends the data of the run length format of the combined pixel values to produce raster data of a combined image, and extends the data of the run length format of the combined alpha values to produce raster data of alpha values.
