Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid cases where management information for a managed device cannot be acquired. SOLUTION: When MFPs 100 (100a, 100b, 100c) detect that polling has not been performed by a first active mediation device 200, the MFPs 100 transmit an activation request for activating a management information acquisition function (including the function of polling execution means) to a second mediation device 250 (mediation device for backup) in made stand-by. Upon the receipt of the activation request by the second mediation device 250, by activating the management information acquisition function, polling is performed to the MFPs 100, and a management information for the MFPs 100 is acquired.
