ELECTROCHEMICAL ELEMENT WITH TERMINAL FOR SURFACE MOUNTING, AND ITS MOUNTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery with terminals for surface mounting allowing reduction of height. SOLUTION: This electrochemical element with terminals for surface mounting uses circular armoring cans for electrodes of positive and negative electrodes, wherein the outer diameter of the armoring can on one-side electrode is larger than that of the armoring can of the other-side electrode. The electrochemical element with terminals for surface mounting is characterized in that a lead terminal soldered to a circuit board is welded to the armoring can having the smaller outer diameter; the armoring can having the larger outer diameter is arranged on the circuit board side; and the bottom part of the armoring can having the larger outer diameter has a first bottom surface part having a diameter smaller than its outer diameter, a doughnut-like second bottom surface part soldered to the circuit board by a reflow method, and a rising part integrally connecting the first and second bottom surface parts.
