COLUMN BASE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column base structure capable of constructing a structure at low cost in a short period by eliminating the construction of footing from a conventional pile bent column base structure, constructed particularly in a soft ground, and enhanced in quake resistance by improving a horizontal resistance during earthquake produced in the pile vent structure. SOLUTION: In this column base structure, the pile members constructed in a ground are connected to the column members constructed on the ground for supporting a bridge beam. A connection joint is fixed to the pile members along the outer surface axial direction. A steel underground wall having a joint along the side surface axial direction is disposed between the pile members adjacent to each other in the direction perpendicular to the bridge axis. The connection joint is fitted to the joint of the steel underground wall to connect the pile members to the steel underground wall. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
