Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of stretched sheet and a production process of anisotropic optical sheet, which can keep pre- and after-stretch three dimensional structures unchanged on the sheet surface by preventing generation of bowing when stretched. SOLUTION: The production process of stretched sheet has a step to contract a base material in longitudinal direction simultaneously stretching it in width direction, while gripping the base material on its ends of width direction with a plurality of clips and making the base material travel in longitudinal direction. The bowing in width direction of the base material is effectively prevented and the three dimensional structure on sheet surface is kept from deformation, by decreasing distance between clips adjacent along the ends in width direction of the substrate faster than the advance of contraction of the base material in longitudinal direction.
