Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting apparatus capable of detecting an axial center near the front end of a plug bar with satisfactory accuracy and simplicity even when the axial center bends in both of a Y direction and an X direction with respect to a reference axis (Z). SOLUTION: The detecting apparatus includes a pair of cylinders which are arranged to face each other across the axial center of the plug bar at least at two points in the longitudinal direction of the plug bar, distance sensors which measure the movement before the rod of each cylinder bar abuts on the peripheral edge of the plug bar, and an operational equipment which calculates the angle of inclination of the axial center near the front end of the plug bar based on the signal of movement from the distance sensor.
