Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inspecting in standing state of a component mounting device, with which the time required for the overall inspection is shortened, as compared with the conventional methods and working efficiency of the component mounting process as a whole is improved. SOLUTION: To a predetermined inspection position where the inspection light of an optical sensor is blocked by components, only when the component are chucked, while the nozzle chucks the components in a standing state, are all the nozzles chucking the components moved. Based on whether a photodetector can detect the inspection light, whether there is any nozzle chucking the component while standing among all the nozzles chucking the components is inspected; and only when there is a nozzle chucking the component while standing, is the individual inspection for all the nozzles carried out.
