IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of potential unevenness when the leading end part of a recording medium is bitten in a transfer part, and to print a good image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a transfer roller 25 for transferring a developer image formed on a photoreceptor drum 27 onto a paper P. The image forming apparatus 1 also includes: an electrification voltage applying part 51 for electrifying the photoreceptor drum 27; an electrification voltage control part 49 for controlling the voltage value to be applied to the photoreceptor drum 27; a transfer voltage applying part 43 for electrifying the transfer roller 25; and a transfer current detecting part 45 for detecting the current supplied to the transfer roller 25. The electrification voltage control part 49 controls the voltage value to be applied to the photoreceptor drum 27 based on the current supplied to the transfer roller 25 and detected by the transfer current detecting part 45.
