Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift-by-wire system for securing safety, by enhancing responsiveness to a shift command. SOLUTION: This shift-by-wire system has an electric motor for generating rotation output for switching a range of an automatic transmission in a vehicle, and a by-wire control circuit part for electrically controlling rotation of the electric motor in response to the shift command from a user. The by-wire control circuit part changes rotation control until a rotation position of the electric motor is made to reach a new target rotation position Mtt according to a re-shift command, in response to an actual rotation position Ma of the electric motor in the re-shift command, when the re-shift command is inputted in switching control for switching the range by controlling the rotation of the electric motor in response to the shift command (S120-S125).
