DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS MICROWAVE THAWING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for continuous microwave thawing which can continuously thaw materials to be thawed and enables homogeneous thawing in a short time and also suppression of drip generation. SOLUTION: The device for continuous microwave thawing has the following structure in which a thawing chamber 3 is formed of a tunnel-state casing 2; a transfer conveyor 10 transferring the material to be thawed 20 toward an outlet 3b from an inlet 3a of the thawing chamber is set up; a microwave-irradiating device 6 intermittently irradiating the material to be thawed 20 on the transfer conveyor 10 with microwave is installed; the casing 2 is made of microwave-shielding material; a microwave-shielding means through which the material to be thawed can be passed, is set up at each of the inlet and the outlet of the thawing chamber; and cooling devices 7, 8 making the thawing chamber maintain cooling atmosphere, are placed at portions not affected by the microwave due to the microwave-irradiating device 6.
