FACSIMILE DEVICE, OPERATION CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile device that prevents device failures caused by setting errors without requiring a user to reset the device for changing the configuration thereof. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 2, the facsimile device is configured so that a paper feeding part 4 for transferring an original manuscript and an optical part 5 for reading an image of an original manuscript to be transferred are integrated with each other while being integrally movable with respect to a device body 6. A position detection means detects a position of the integrated paper feeding part 4 and optical part 5. A control means changes device functions according to the position. When the paper feeding part 4 and the optical part 5 are at a transmission priority position where a paper-feed stacker 1 for transmission and a paper-discharge stacker 2 for transmission are respectively obliquely upwardly protruding from the device body, the control means limits functions of the facsimile device during reception.
