Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line image sensor for X-ray imaging that offers improved spacial resolution. SOLUTION: The line image sensor includes a container 5 containing an X-ray detection gas sealed therein, a printed board 3 placed in the container 5, a plurality of strips of first signal electrodes 1a arranged parallel with one main surface of the printed board 3, a plurality of strips of second signal electrodes 1b arranged parallel with the other main surface of the printed board 3, a first high-voltage electrode plate 2a which is disposed counter to first signal electrodes 1a in the container 5 so that a given voltage is applied across the first high-voltage electrode plate 2a and the first signal electrodes 1a, and a second high-voltage electrode plate 2b which is disposed counter to second signal electrodes 1b in the container 5 so that a given voltage is applied across the second high-voltage electrode plate 2b and the second signal electrodes 1b. The first signal electrodes 1a and the second signal electrodes 1b are so arranged that the first signal electrodes 1a are located between the second signal electrodes 2b adjacent to each other in a view in the direction perpendicular to the main surface of the printed board 3.
