PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide character input environment comfortable to a user. SOLUTION: This sentence preparation device has: an operation part 102 receiving input of a numeric character; a display part 101 having an auxiliary area and an input area for performing various display; a storage area 103 storing the Japanese syllabary data wherein association of a combination of the numeric characters with one character are recorded and prediction conversion data wherein association of a character string with a term group are recorded; and a control part 104 allowing prediction conversion input processing for making the associated prescribed term group be displayed on the auxiliary area in reference to contents of the prediction conversion data when a prescribed character string is displayed on the input area, and allowing a vowel consonant input processing for making one associated prescribed character be displayed in the input area in reference to the Japanese syllabary data when receiving the prescribed combination of the numeric characters from the operation part 102.
