SELF-CLEANING FILTER ARRANGEMENT WITH ACTIVATION SIGNAL FOR FLOOR CARE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor care apparatus for initiating self-cleaning of a filter, without user intervention, only on an as-needed basis. SOLUTION: This floor care apparatus has the filter with an intake and out take. A first pressure sensor is arranged in the intake of the filter of this floor care apparatus, while a second pressure sensor is arranged on the out take of the filter. A controller connects to these sensors to receive signals indicative of relative pressure of both. Whenever a predetermined pressure differential between both signals is achieved, it is regarded as an undesirable load on the filter is deemed occured, and initiation of automatic cleaning of the filter begins. The filter cleaning only occurs on an as-needed basis, and the user intervention is avoided. The controller is also able to ascertain clogged airway, and pressure sensor signals is arranged to scale suction as positive pressures, meeting the predetermined pressure differential at other than a maximum pressure differential between the first pressure sensor and the second pressure sensor, and scaling the predetermined pressure differential relative to the maximum pressure differential.
