IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to continue image forming operation regardless of failure in the image forming operation, and reduce operator's trouble. SOLUTION: While no failure is detected by a detection means, an ejection means ejects recording material on which an image is formed to a normal ejection tray out of a plurality of ejection trays. On the other hand, when a failure is detected by the detection means, the ejection means regards recording material on which the image is not normally formed due to the failure as abnormal recording material and ejects it to an ejection tray different from the normal ejection tray. When a failure is detected by the detection means, the image forming means re-executes the image forming operation for the image corresponding to the abnormal recording material.
