COOLING SYSTEM OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool fuel pool water even in the case of much decay heat of a spent fuel, to cool the fuel pool water continuously by another cooling system even if one cooling system is separated, and to thereby reduce an operator's load required for switching the cooling system. SOLUTION: In a nuclear power plant having a spent fuel storage pool for storing the spent fuel used in operation of a reactor and irradiated in the reactor for a fixed period, a reactor well connected to the spent fuel storage pool, and a spent fuel storage pool water cooling system, the spent fuel storage pool water cooling system comprises two or more independent cooling systems, and at least one cooling system between them is constituted of a fuel pool water auxiliary cooling water system and a secondary loop cooling water system.
