Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the pressure capacity of a small and thin pressure container to be used as a hydrogen storage alloy container. SOLUTION: A rib plate 2 is arranged in the cylindrical pressure container (a container body 1), and the rib plate 2 is joined to the wall inner face of the pressure container in the rising condition with welding operation from the outside of a pressure container wall. Resistance welding or laser welding with less thermal effects is desirable in a welding method. The rib plate is arranged and fixed into the small and thin pressure container to improve the pressure capacity of the pressure container which shows improved strength against alloy expansion when used as the hydrogen storage alloy container. The container is easily manufactured to be adaptable for mass-production. The thinner form of the container and the optimum shape of the rib result in a larger inner capacity, thus improving the volume efficiency as the hydrogen storage alloy container.
