Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston and an internal combustion engine capable of inhibiting fuel spray from a fuel injection device from overflowing from a cavity. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 includes: a fuel injection valve 50 directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber 40; a spark plug 55 having a spark discharge part 55 projected into a combustion chamber 40, and the piston 30 having on its top a cavity wall 33 receiving fuel from the fuel injection valve 50 and leading the same to the spark plug 55. A convex curved surface 34 curved to project in the combustion chamber 40 side is provided in the spark plug 55 side from an edge 33e in the fuel injection valve 50 side of the cavity wall 33. The convex curved surface 34 biases flow of fuel spray flowing onto the convex curved surface 34 from the fuel injection valve 50 to a bottom surface 36 side of the cavity wall 33 as shown as arrow J by using Coanda effect.
