Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator in which stable ions can be generated even if a few changes occur in an electrode and a power supply, and conditions of voltage and frequency to obtain 50 ppm or less being an allowable concentration of ozone concentration are satisfied. SOLUTION: The ion generator has a dielectric, a discharge electrode having fine projections arranged on the surface of the dielectric, and a dielectric electrode arranged on the rear face of the dielectric. The fan type ion generator comprises an ion device in which an AC high voltage of sign wave is applied on the discharge electrode and by providing a potential difference between the dielectric electrode, plasma is formed on the surface of the dielectric and cation, anion, and ozone are generated by ionization of air, and a fan to generate air stream to the discharge electrode. The voltage between peaks is 3.5 kV or more and 7 kV or less, the frequency f satisfies a specific parameter, and the relations between the voltage V and the frequency f satisfies a specific parameter.
