MAGNET ROLLER, DEVELOPER CARRIER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet roller having a small half-value width of a magnetic flux density, without providing an auxiliary magnetic pole adjacent to a development pole and to provide a toner image with high image quality, on which "rear-end void" is suppressed by using a developer carrier comprising the magnet roller for an electrophotographic system image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The magnet roller 40 constituting the developer carrier of a developing device is provided with a shaft 31 and a plurality of magnets 32a to 32e provided around the shaft. The magnet 32a whose surface has a groove 33a extending in the axis line direction of the shaft 31 is included in these magnets. A magnet block 33 having the same magnetic property as that of the magnet 32a having the groove is housed and disposed in the groove 33a. The magnet block 33 projects to the circumferential side of the magnet roller 40 from the magnet 32a on both adjacent sides of the groove 33a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
