Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium, which is excellent in color developing sensitivity, image quality and storage stability and, at the same time, excellent in imprinting properties, scratching properties, the water resistance and resistance to plasticizer of an image part. SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording medium comprising a support overlaid with a thermosensitive recording layer including colorless or light-colored basic leuco dye and electron acceptive developer and a protective layer, a condensate or a condensation composition expressed by general formula (1) and a urea-urethane base compound expressed by general formula (2) are included as the electron acceptive developer in the thermosensitive recording layer and, at the same time, the protective layer includes powdered cellulose in order to manifest excellent effects.
