Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metal carrier which has no large difference in level at the wound-up terminal end of a corrugated plate and which does not cause local deformation of a cell shape even when it is inserted forcibly into a container. SOLUTION: The metal carrier 1 is obtained by spirally winding up a superposed material of the metallic belt-like corrugated plate (1a) on a metallic band-like flat plate (1b). The height of a corrugated shape in the vicinity of the terminal end of the corrugated plate (1a) positioned on the outermost periphery of a spire is made lower gradually as it goes to the terminal end.
