WATERPROOF CONNECTOR FOR FLEXIBLE BOARD CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components, cost and to improve waterproofness. SOLUTION: The waterproof connector for a flexible board cable includes an opening (3) accepting an end part of a flexible board cable (6) with a terminal (6A) formed on its end part, a housing (2) of a connector (1) of a male side equipped with an insertion-coupling part (10) with its accepted end part arranged, and a waterproof member (4) attached to an opening outer face (3A) of the housing (2) to cover the opening (3) and equipped with an insertion port (5) for accepting the flexible board cable (6). The waterproof member (4) is heated and shrunk, then adhered onto the housing (2) and the flexible board cable (6), so as to aim at waterproofness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
