Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared ray generator generating heat with a small combustion quantity. SOLUTION: This infrared ray generator 10 has a chamber 12 having the outer periphery formed of a thermal insulation wall 17, a porous heat radiating plate 30 arranged in front of the chamber 12, a rotary burner 20 and a fan 13 arranged in the rear of the chamber 12. The rotary burner 20 is formed by arranging a rotary vaporization cylinder 21, a cylindrical combustion board 22 and a combustion outer cylinder 23 for forming a gas chamber 26 between the combustion outer cylinder and the combustion board 22, in this order from the inside. Liquid fuel F supplied from a fuel tank 11 is vaporized by the rotary vaporization cylinder 21, and is burnt by blowing off from the combustion board 22 via the gas chamber 26 together with combustion air supplied from the fan 13.
