DOOR STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door structure of an automobile which securely prevents a door from being difficult to open by the collision of a door latch and a door striker at the time of a front side/back side collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Protruded surface parts 25, 26 of a base part 19 with an almost oval shape in the door striker 18 are formed at an outer side in a vehicle width direction as well as at an inner side in a vehicle width direction by using an imaginary line 23 connecting with the mounting holes 21 of the base part 19 in an outer circumferential part as a reference line. Accordingly, though there are a variety of forms of the front side/back side collision of the vehicle, the protruded surface parts 25, 26 are made to abut on the rear end surface 7a (a part opposed to the door striker 18) of a door before the bottom part 10a of a guide groove 10 in the door latch 9 collides with the door striker 18, so that the bottom part of the guide groove 10 is securely prevented from colliding with the striker 18.
