ANTIFREEZING PAVEMENT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifreezing pavement structure capable of easily holding a spread antifreezing admixture to the surface part of a surface layer by restraining wash-away of the spread antifreezing admixture and efficiently exhibiting an antifreezing effect of a road surface with the held antifreezing admixture. SOLUTION: The antifreezing pavement structure 10 using the antifreezing admixture spread on the surface is constituted by holding cavities 14 between aggregate pieces 13 in the surface part 12a of the impermeable surface layer 12 of asphalt pavement 11 to form a rugged part 15 preferably with the same porosity as the surface part of the drainable pavement and sticking resilient grains 17 formed of rubber grains or the like, to the inner surface of recesses 16 of the rugged part 15. It is preferable to form the rugged part 15 of the surface part 12a of the surface layer 12 so that the depth of the recesses 16 is 2.5-10 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
