HIGHLY BANDWIDTH-EFFICIENT COMMUNICATIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit operation quality and maintenance data from a remote station to a base station. SOLUTION: In the present invention, a remote station generates a common access channel vector for spreading operation quality and maintenance data at a plurality of discrete tone frequencies and forms a spreading signal of a common access channel. A base station processes the operation quality and maintenance data and detects an arbitrary channel, between a remote processor and the base station, indicating substandard operation. For example, if substandard operation such as low SINR is detected, the base station updates weights of spreading and despreading of that channel and enhances the operation quality of a traffic channel. The base station processes the operation quality and maintenance data and detects a remote processor indicating an abnormal component.
