IMAGE SENSING DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensing device having a function capable of automatically tracing a target moving in the case of a photographing and a method for driving the image sensing device. SOLUTION: The image sensing device has an image sensing means photoelectrically converting light from a subject. In the image sensing device, the image sensing means has a first image-sensing element 13 and a second image-sensing element 14 image-sensing a part of the image-sensing range F0 of the first image-sensing element 13 in an optically the same state. In the image sensing device, the image sensing means has a decision section 21 detecting the movement of the subject on the basis of image-sensing signals generated by the first image-sensing element 13 and the second image-sensing element 14, respectively, and a movement control section 17 moving the second image-sensing element 14 in the two-dimensional direction vertical to an optic axis in response to the movement.
