GAS DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector for detecting gases even if a user does not work for rubbing a reagent against a reaction surface. SOLUTION: This gas detector 10 includes a plate 3 with first and second reaction surfaces 1 and 2, a transparent protective sheet 4 for covering the reaction surface 1, a transparent protective sheet 5 for covering the reaction surface 2, a protective package 6 for storing therein the plate 3 with its reaction surface 1 covered with the protective sheet 4 and with its reaction surface 2 covered with the protective sheet 5, and a sheet connection part 7 for together connecting the protective sheet 4 and the protective package 6. When the plate 3 is taken out of the package 6, the protective sheet 4 is torn off from the reaction surface 1 by the connection part 7.
