Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercially advantageous method for producing an olefin oxide in high selectivity. SOLUTION: The method for producing propylene oxide comprises the reaction of propylene with oxygen in the presence of water, a halogen compound and a silver catalyst produced by using an alkaline earth metal carbonate as a carrier and having an oxygen adsorption capacity of ≥10 μmol/g.
