Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist detector which can exactly detect mist if the mist is generated in the case where a fluid is jetted from a fluid jet head, and to provide a fluid jet apparatus. SOLUTION: The mist detector includes an electrode member 33 arranged in a cap 30, a voltage applying circuit 34 which applies a voltage across the electrode member 33 and a recording head 19, and a controller 39 which acquires as voltage change information a change of a voltage of the electrode member 33 to the recording head 19 when the voltage is applied by the voltage applying circuit 34. The controller 39 has a ROM in which reference change information is preliminarily stored. The controller 39 judges whether or not the ink mist is generated in a frame on the basis of the comparison result between the acquired voltage change information and the reference change information.
