| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type rotating electrical machine which water or the like hardly gets in enter. SOLUTION: As openings to be formed in the housing 6 (enclosure) of a rotating electrical machine such as an open-type induction motor, upper openings 10, 11 and lower openings 12, 13 are provided separately from each other. Thus, an upper flow UF of cooling air and a lower flow DF of cooling air opposite to each other in direction are separately created in the housing.
