TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION GENERATING DEVICE AND TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION GENERATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature distribution generating device and a temperature distribution generating method for generating quantitative temperature distribution in the beam spot of a laser beam for recording in a magneto-optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The temperature distribution generating device 1 for generating temperature distribution in the beam spot of the laser beam B for recording in the magneto-optical recording medium M is provided with: a CPU 71 executing a Curie point range acquiring program 734 for acquiring the Curie point range of the magneto-optical recording medium M in the beam spot from photographed image data obtained by observing the inner part of the beam spot in the magneto-optical recording medium M in the middle of being irradiated with the laser beam B for recording by using a polarization microscope 3; and the CPU 71 executing a temperature distribution acquiring program 737 for acquiring temperature distribution in the beam spot corresponding to real temperature from distances from the center of the beam spot in the acquired Curie point range and a model temperature distribution in the beam spot.
