FUNCTIONAL MATERIAL AND FUNCTIONAL FOOD COMPRISING USEFUL PHOSPHOLIPID COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional material improving a physiological activity and comprising a useful phospholipid composition by using a liposome composed of a useful phospholipid and a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition or the liposome, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition and a functional substance as active ingredients and effectively utilizing synergistic functions thereof. SOLUTION: The functional material 1 comprises the liposome 2 composed of the useful phospholipid composition containing an omega-3 highly unsaturated fatty acid-bound phospholipid and the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition 3 as the active ingredients. The liposome 2 may be coated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition 3 or the functional substance may be encapsulated in the liposome 2 composed of the useful phospholipid composition. The functional material can be produced by emulsifying the useful phospholipid in water, forming the liposome 2 and mixing the resultant liposome 2 with a solution composed of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition 3. Thereby, the intracorporeal absorption efficiency of the liposome 2 or the functional substance can be improved to exhibit physiological functions equal to or better than those of the functional substance in a small amount.
