Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adjustment of a cam in a cam type lathe including a numerical control function. SOLUTION: A movement of a cutting tool 21 in a cutting direction is controlled by a cam mechanism 10, and a movement of a spindle stock 2 in a Z-axis direction is numerically controlled by a servo-motor 6. The lathe 1 detects a rotating angle and a rotating speed of a camshaft 16 with sensors. On the basis of the value detected, the lathe 1 controls the movement of the spindle stock 2 so that the cam mechanism 10 and the spindle stock 2 can move synchronously. Besides, a ball screw 7 and a nut 8 are arranged in such a way that the driving force by the servo-motor 6 in the Z-axis direction acts evenly on a slide surface 17, thereby to prevent uneven wear of the slide surface 17. Thus, the lathe 1 controls the spindle stock 2 numerically and disengages the same from the cam mechanism 10, thereby to facilitate the adjustment of the cam mechanism 10 and also the setting of an offset value of the spindle stock 2.
