Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of having a reduced manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a light guide plate placed on the back of the display panel, an optical sheet placed between the liquid crystal display panel and the light guide plate, and a bottom chassis inserted between the light guide plate and the optical sheet. The bottom chassis has a side surface part on which the display panel is seated, an inner side part having a step formed from the side surface part, where the light guide plate and the optical sheet are to be inserted, and a projecting part extended from an outer side of the side surface part.
