CLUSTER SYSTEM, COMPUTER AND ITS ABNORMALITY DETECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a service interruption period of time of a cluster system accompanied by the abnormality detection of a computer. SOLUTION: A computer abnormality monitoring part 51 always monitors existing packets transmitted from a partner computer and detects an abnormality of the partner computer. A communication monitoring part 52 always receives response packets returned from communication equipment 30 and counts the number of received response packets per predetermined time. An operation mode management part 53, when the computer abnormality monitoring part 51 detects the abnormality of the partner computer immediately acquires the number of received response packets per predetermined time from the communication monitoring part 52, when the number of received response packet is a predetermined threshold or more, determines that there actually is the abnormality in the partner computer, furthermore, an operation mode of itself at the time is in a standby state, updates the operation mode to a performance state and starts a service application 14.
