PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to comfortably select a timbre, even when a combination of a plurality of timbres is selected as one timbre. SOLUTION: A new timbre set can be selected while loading a predetermined number of voice data for specifying a selected timbre set in a current memory. During transfer of the predetermined number of voice data corresponding to the selection of the timbre set, it is determined whether or not the selection of the timbre set is changed, each time transfer of one voice data is finished. When it is not changed (YES in S25), the following voice data are transferred (S27 and S28), and when it is changed (NO in S25), the current transfer of the voice data corresponding to the selection of the timbre set is stopped, and transfer of the voice data for specifying a new selected timbre set is started.
