Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil for copper pipe machining use, excellent in pipe forming ability when a copper pipe undergoes drawing work or rolling work, slight in residual oil level after annealing, and capable of preventing lower organic acid generation. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil for copper pipe machining use is such as to be intended for machining copper pipes made of copper or a copper alloy. Additives contain 5-40 wt.% of a monohydric alcohol, 0.01-3 wt.% of one or more phenolic compounds. The remaining portion contains as a base oil one or more kinds of polyisobutylene with an average molecular weight of 30,000 or more and one or more kinds of isoparaffin or polyisobutylene with an average molecular weight of 400 or lower, wherein the dynamic viscosity of the whole base oil is 100-1,000 cSt (at 40°C).
