SKIN COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic which is effective to prevent skin aging in a manner that it enhances the moisture holding function of the skin to make the skin less dry and improves rough skin and a skin barrier effect. SOLUTION: The skin cosmetic comprises a hyaluronic acid oligosaccharide and/or a salt thereof, a 5-10C 1,2-alkanediol, desirably 1,2-octanediol, and optionally a collagen peptide, represented by formula (1): (Gly-X-Y)n(wherein Gly is a glycine residue; X and Y, which may be the same or different from each other, are each an amino acid residue; and n is an integer), desirably a collagen peptide of a weight-average molecular weight of 100-3,000.
