Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of a starting device when starting an internal combustion engine, to make a continuously variable transmission correspond to a low-speed state when stopping the internal combustion engine, and to eliminate the need for giving great consideration to forming an oil passage by simplifying an oil passage structure, in a power unit for a motorcycle stored in a transmission chamber of a machine body material, wherein the continuously variable transmission is constituted so as to change power transmission from a driving pulley shaft to a driven pulley shaft without stages by changing a winding radius of a belt to a driving pulley and a driven pulley. SOLUTION: An input clutch 51 interposed between a crank shaft 12 and the driving pulley shaft 40 is provided on the driving pulley shaft 40, and a starting clutch 38 interposed between the driven pulley shaft 41 and a rear wheel is provided on the driven pulley shaft 41. One of the input clutch 51 and the starting clutch 38 switches disconnection/connection by hydraulic control, and the other of the input clutch 51 and the starting clutch 38 mechanically switches the disconnection/connection.
