CERAMIC-MADE END TAB FOR WELDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic-made end tab for welding capable of suppressing occurrence of undercut or the like by reducing the contact area of a ceramic-made tab with a non-welded part of a base material as much as possible, and promoting penetration in the base material by forming a space between the base material and the tab. SOLUTION: The ceramic-made end tab 10 for welding is used for performing the welding by butting a first base material having a prepared edge to a side face of a second base material, and has a contact face12 of a weld metal recessed in a substantially corresponding manner to the prepared edge and a base material contact face 14 which is relatively projected to the contact face of the weld metal and brought into contact with an end face of the first base material. A plurality of projections is formed on the contact face of the base material from the position separate ≥2 mm from its groove corresponding surface 22, and at least the lower projections form a passage extending in a backwardly penetrating manner from the groove corresponding surface side.
